Rooibos tea is a caffeine-free herbal tea from South Africa. Starting in the early 1990s it has become more well known in the western world, primarily due to its fabulous taste (never bitter!) but also because it's loaded with antioxidants, minerals and vitamins that our body uses.
There are two ways in which Rooibos is processed, one is when it's oxidized and the other when it's left un-oxidized. The Organic Green Rooibos is the un-oxidized Rooibos tea, and has a light green appearance with a reddish hue.
The flavor profile of the Organic Green Rooibos is more subtle than it's more well known sibling the Red Rooibos. It taste like a smooth mild cup of green tea with no hint of briskness or bitterness.
